Welcome to the world of Pet Photo Booth!

Pet Photo Booth is a photography arts project documenting Australians and the relationships we share with our pets.

Anyone with a pet is invited to participate in the project, the sittings are free and all participants receive a souvenir PPB print!

People and their pets are photographed in a mobile studio in front of original 1970s and 1980s photo-wall backdrops; the kitsch settings include forests, waterfalls, castles, New York skylines and space shuttles.

The novelty settings and presence of pets seems to inspire their human companions to open up to the camera and the resulting portraits are engaging, funny and range from the beautiful to the bizarre.

The Pet Photo Booth project is a labour of love for two Perth based artists Justin Spiers and Yvonne Doherty.

Pet Photo Booth has held sessions at many other venues in the last twelve months including studios, backyards, paddocks, canine clubs and even circus's.

Plans are underway to take Pet Photo Booth around Australia over the next twelve months. The resulting images are being collected for a beautiful book that will offer a very unique insight into Australians and the relationships we form with domestic animals.
